Finished dual-fan install on a barrel tile roof. The second fan sits near the ridge to clear the far end of the attic.

Flat concrete tile roof, tiles reset around the fan when the job is done. You would not know we cut the roof.

Flat foam roof. The fan is sealed to the roof coating and sits beside the home's solar array.

Same flat roof from the AC side. The fan needs no wiring, so placement is about airflow, not the electrical run.

Step 1: we lift the tiles, cut the opening, and seal the underlayment with roofing mastic before the fan goes anywhere near the hole.

Step 2: the fan is set into the opening and bedded in mastic so water cannot get under the base.

Step 3: a metal flashing pan goes under the fan and laps over the tile course below, the same way a roofer flashes a vent.
